Areas of Activity of the Association

The activities of the “O‘zbekipaksanoat” Association cover a range of areas aimed at developing the sericulture industry, improving the silk production chain, and strengthening the sector’s economic potential.

Development of the Sericulture Feed Base. Establishing and expanding mulberry plantations, developing a high-quality feed base for silkworms, and ensuring the efficient use of available resources.

Silkworm Egg and Cocoon Production. Developing high-yield silkworm breeds, producing high-quality silkworm eggs, and increasing the volume and quality of cocoon production.

Cocoon and Silk Processing. Expanding primary cocoon processing, producing raw silk and silk yarn, modernizing existing facilities, and establishing new production operations.

Finished Product Manufacturing. Expanding the production of finished silk products, introducing modern designs and technologies, and bringing product quality into line with international requirements.

Exports and Marketing. Studying domestic and international markets for silk products, attracting new buyers, and expanding export destinations and volumes.

Investment and Innovation. Supporting production modernization, the adoption of modern technologies, and efforts to attract investment to the industry.

Carpet Weaving and Handicrafts. Promoting handwoven carpet production, supporting artisans, establishing cooperative partnerships, and expanding carpet exports.

Workforce Development and Employment. Supporting specialist training, improving employees’ professional skills, and promoting employment opportunities for rural communities, particularly young people and women.
