About the “O‘zbekipaksanoat” Association

The “O‘zbekipaksanoat” Association was established to coordinate efforts aimed at developing the sericulture industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan, improving production processes in the silk industry, expanding the deep processing of silk products, and increasing export potential.

The Association’s main areas of activity include strengthening the feed base for silkworm rearing, developing silkworm egg production and cocoon cultivation, expanding the production of raw silk and silk yarn, increasing the output of finished silk products, and enhancing their competitiveness in international markets.

Other key priorities include attracting modern technologies and investment to the industry, introducing international standards, training qualified specialists, and supporting efforts to increase employment and household incomes in rural areas.

The legal basis for the establishment of the Association is Resolution No. PQ-2856 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated 29 March 2017, “On Measures to Organize the Activities of the ‘O‘zbekipaksanoat’ Association.”
